Summer in the Dolomites is magical, the days seem endless as the meadows where you can walk and have picnics. Even those who love the mountains in winter, as soon as they try Dolomites in summer they remain enchanted by their charm.
Among the many paths, appropriate for both children and trained experts, the most famous are the Puez and Fanes Natural Parks, the Armentara meadows, the Boè peak, the Pisciadù waterfalls and the uplands of Piz la Ila, of Pralongià and of Saddle.
While you will be our guests, don't forget to stop and listen to the surrounding silence, interrupted only by a whistle of a marmot or by the patter of a woodpecker.
What if you don't like walking? You should try to rent an e-bike or simply a mountain bike! There are many shops that rent various types of bikes, you will certainly find the one for you.
If you are road bike lovers, at least once in your life you need to experience the thrill of participating in the Dolomites Marathon, which takes place every year at the end of June / beginning of July here in Alta Badia. It is a unique and unforgettable experience for the participants, but also for the viewers. All the towns and villages celebrate during the marathon weekend; traffic is limited, shops sell all kind of gadgets and kiosks prepare food and drinks. For the little ones there are plenty of spaces dedicated to their entertainment, both at altitude and downstream. The biggest ones are the parks upstream of the Piz Sorega and Piz la Ila cableways. In recent years, many refuges strived to create play areas for children, sometimes even with small animal parks, such as the great Malga Saraghes and the refuge Piz Arlara. To conclude the overview of the alternatives proposed by Alta Badia, we must name the Alta Badia Golf Club with its 9-hole course. For all the lovers of this discipline, this Club is a necessary step. It is located 5 minutes from our house and it is reachable by foot along a suggestive path.
